Head of School Traci Tucker

For over three decades, Dr. Traci Tucker has served children and families as a teacher and leader in schools and churches. In 2019, she joined Scofield Christian School as the Head of School.

Dr. Tucker grew up in a small town outside of Houston and attended Baylor University, graduating with a B.S. in Elementary Education with E.D. and L.D. Certifications. Her first job in education was teaching Special Education in the Houston area. Dr. Tucker holds graduate degrees including an M.A., Educational Specialist, and Doctor of Education from Oral Roberts University. 

 

She met and married her husband Jim, the youth pastor at her church, and began teaching at the Christian school associated with the church. Dr. Tucker served alongside her husband in ministry, traveling, pastoring, and starting a family. Together they planted a church where she founded a Christian school, which grew from 40 to 400 in seven years. She served as the Pre-K-12th Administrator and Principal.

Since moving to Dallas, she has served as a teacher, Academic Dean, Principal, worked in a Christian graduate school, and as Head of School.  

 

Through her years in Christian education and graduate work, her passion for Christian education grew. She loves serving families and seeing students grow academically and in their relationship with the Lord. Dr. Tucker and her husband, Jim, enjoy helping churches and supporting couples to have healthy marriages. They have three adult children, a son-in-law, and two grandchildren.
