Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

Psalm 91:1-2

From the Desk of Dr. Tucker

Dear Parents,

The SCS faculty are so excited the 2021-2022 school year is almost here. We have hired some amazing teachers and staff, and we can’t wait for you to meet them. Look for their introduction on social media over the next two weeks; then meet them in person at Orientation August 13.

Many have asked about masks and COVID protocols because of the change in CDC guidelines this week. Gov. Abbott has not changed nor have we. Any teacher or student may wear a mask, but it will not be mandated. We will be diligent and vigilant regarding hygiene and cold symptoms. Students will wash hands and sanitize often. Equipment will not be shared, or it will be sanitized between usage. Please do not send your child to school with a runny nose or coughing unless you have a doctor’s note that it is allergies. Otherwise, you will be asked to come collect them from school. While not mandating masks, we will continue to be wise with implementing practical elements to keep everyone healthy. In praying about the year, I am praying Psalm 91 over the school. Please take time to read the entire chapter and pray The Lord’s protection over SCS. I have a Jesus Version of the Bible which I love. From that version, Ps. 91: 1-7: Those who live in the shelter of the Most High Will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust Him. For He will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with His wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, Nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, Nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, Though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. I look forward to seeing everyone soon!

Blessings, Traci Tucker
