Grades 1 & 2 (Lower Elementary)

At an early age, children begin to lay the groundwork to become life-long learners and knowledgeable about Christ's love for them. Lower Elementary at Scofield offers an academically challenging program developed to build confident and caring learners.  

 

Our small classes promote a high degree of personal attention for all learning styles and allow them to be introduced to a wide array of learning experiences at a young age in our private elementary school in Dallas. 

 

In a child and Christ-centered environment, our students are known and loved. Scofield teachers understand the emotional, intellectual, and spiritual needs of each child. 

 

Our research-based curriculum helps students to develop independence, creativity, problem-solving abilities, confidence, and perseverance. Curiosity and discovery in learning are encouraged in the classroom through co-curricular classes, outside the classroom in our Environmental Learning Center, and on class field trips. Spiritual education is woven throughout our curriculum, weekly Chapel services, and our Honorable Character education program.

 

As students complete their lower elementary school years, they begin to see themselves as capable individuals who use their talents and gifts for others' good, arming them with the skills to be successful in upper elementary and beyond.
