The purpose of the art curriculum at Scofield is to help students develop and use their creativity and God-given abilities for His glory and honor. Through exposure to various media, styles, and art experiences, students will gain a basic understanding of art as a whole and how it relates to their world. The students explore many mediums and techniques and learn art history as they master the concept of design elements. Through art, students appreciate others’ self-expression as they realize that God has gifted individuals in varying ways. The curriculum helps students become aware of how individual expression can reflect inner thoughts, feelings, and abilities. 

The students have the opportunity to enter their works into the ASCI art competition each year. We hope you enjoy the images of some of our art! Cultivating an understanding and love of music and the visual arts by providing a positive environment where the student and teacher can explore the creative process is a goal of Scofield Christian School. Students share their artistic experiences with our school community during our annual concerts, choir competitions, and art display competitions.
